my flight to India is the day after tomorrow, and my passport hasn't come back from the DC embassy yet. I hope I don't have to change my ticket. It's not easy traveling as an American these days--the US creates more and more rules to make things difficult for would-be visitors from other countries, so the other countries retaliate by making things difficult for us. I say more power to 'em, but it still sucks for me.
Anyway, I had a good two days wandering the freezing streets of Manhattan, Kansas with my chum Peter, climbing trees, scavenging through dumpsters, climbing more trees, and generally behaving in a most erratic manner. It's always fun to drop by.
Now I'm (hopefully) off to Bangalore with a new copy of Loamhedge, with which to frighten the other Friends Worlders (I have it on the good authority of my former homestay-sibling Brendan "Max" Smart that the South Asian Centre is a gathering point for such students as take themselves and their education FAR too seriously. Certain books, prominently carried about the person, are said to serve as an effective talisman against such types).
