Housekeeping and Icons
Okay, so who the hell reads this anyway? ...But that is not what I came here to say. I have apparently not updated for "52 weeks." ...And I just now realized that that is exactly a year. O_O But that's just a coincidence, because I came on to clean out my inbox and check out icons. I finally left the
fanficrants community, and joined a whole bunch of icon communities in its place (seriously, a LOT of icon communities), but I still seriously doubt that the number of messages I have will not even RIVAL the sheer magnitude of
fanficrants
entries. ...Which is kind of sad.
You know, I never use any of the icons I collect, though I have collected exactly 969 of them (minus the ones I collected then decided I didn't like any more, so then deleted them). I only use the ones I've made myself, which is only 35 (minus the ones I don't like anymore and moved to their own folder). This is because I am too lazy to credit, so I avoid the issue altogether.
But I organized my icon collection... I used to just keep them in folders of 100 each, and I still have those folders, but now I have duplicates of each icon by genre. I have a fandom folder, and then folders inside that for each fandom, and I have a miscellaneous folder, and a lolcats folder... It's great. I love meaningless organizing. ...Though I can never seem to clean my room. :)
Well, if anyone DOES read this, and they want to help with my icon collection, then... they can help me by giving me funny icons. :D (The only icons I collect are funny ones or ones relating to any of my OTPs.) The fandoms I'm collecting for are: Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Trek (The Original Series, The Next Generation, or Deep Space 9), Star Wars, The Blues Brothers, Fire Emblem, Monty Python, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Pokemon, Seinfeld, Spongebob, The X-Files, and Twin Peaks.
And if anyone can tell me a good community for icons for The Blues Brothers, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Pokemon, or Spongebob, then please tell me. :)
Also, just funny icons in general are appreciated...
