Heart attack on a bun

I survived the Burger King Enormous Omelet Sandwich on Sunday. 730 calories and 47 grams of fat later, I realize I've given up two years of my lifespan in the name of science. Or boredom. Whatever.

As always, some credit goes to my girlfriend. When we went to the Burger King in the mall, it was closed. I begged her to go to another one down the road, and she gave me that "You're such an idiot" look, but agreed. As she said later, "I understand it's one of those 'stupid guy' things you just have to do, or you won't stop talking about it."

And so, we went. And I'm not blaming it for my lack of appetite over the past few days, but I'm not discounting it either. I had the sandwich around 11 am, along with hash browns and coffee. For the rest of the day, I only ate out of habit, though I was never hungry. Today, I didn't have breakfast/lunch til about 4 in the afternoon, and reluctantly ate a small dinner a little while ago even though I wasn't hungry.

How was it? Not great. Not bad either. I've always preferred the sausage patties McDonald's uses, so I'm sure that played a role in it. The BK sausage tastes burned, which explains my usage of ketchup halfway through. As I explained to my GF a while ago about my cooking "skillz," everything tastes ketchupy. When she told me to stop using ketchup then, I told her it was the only thing that covered up the burned flavour my cooking seems to acquire.

The bacon was okay. The egg, meh. The cheese was the best part. Which isn't saying much. Still, it fills you up. Don't think I'll ever get it again though. The McGriddles are way tastier.
