*the days are getting ALOT closer to the opening of Bravo... SUNDAY! november 30th. 11am. im excited, yet so nervous & scared. the training has been extensive & overwhelming but i think i have 90% of all areas covered... i think i just need to do some more memorizing of the menu... yes even the hostesses have to know the menu and every ingrediant in every meal. its not too hard. today we did practice scenarios... and we had to preset a table of 18...for a reservation... we had to pull so many tables together and put 9 people on each side... we also answer phones. greet at the door & open the door..occassionally bus a table when its jammed pack and there are no clean tables ready... we have over 100 tables & it gets confusing with the wait list/reservations...all the rotations...we blow up balloons for kiddies and get them dough to play with, bathroom checks, we are also doing to-go orders. alot of other stuff beyond the simple greeting and seating right? oh yeah. people think hostesses have the easiest job in the world. we actually dont people. there is alot more involved! and we are the FIRST and LAST person the guest sees. so we are responsible for making that amazing impression. which is a piece of cake to me...ive hosted before, im naturally sweet & a hard worker... everything seems to be coming together though. ive tasted every item on the menu [ minus calmari, eggplant, veal, any fish & seafood minus shrimp, lamb chops... ew i refused to taste it... ].. every meal is absolutely amazing. and i hear the wine is good? ;x me and one of the other hostesses kat goof around alot and today we couldnt stop giggling...we have fun. but we know when to be serious! during tasting today i was cracking everyone around me up... the faces i was making when they brought up the lamb chops & the salmon.. i was so disgusted and making funny faces. then i missprounced alot of words... i even kept calling the california pizza kitchen - california pizza chicken... [ i dunno where the hell that came from ] my dumb side is def. starting to take over haha. i had alot of energy today. so right now im promoting my resturant. telling everyone to go eat there. that it will be the best food and service youll ever recieve, that itll be the best resturant in the area... whats funny is now when i go to a resturant i compare the service and the food to bravo....first of all the food doesnt compare. and the service at alot of places suck...as a hostess we have alot more responsibilities at bravo...and greeting is a huge thing, and we dont just seat people, we actually converse with them...suggest a good appetizer, make sure they are comfortable... we are even walking guests out with umbrellas when its raining....yeah i know. we will totally exceed all your expectations! so come out, eat some good food, come visit me :D

thursday we have off... thanksgiving
friday we have family/friends where they get to eat for free.. and thats the first official day i hostess..i start @ 10am... an hour early to prepare...
saturday we have mock service for the big gurus and buisness people in va beach and the 757 that will come in and eat and test it out.. i work @ 10 that morning
then sunday we open! 11am.. i come in at 10... and its going to be absolutely crazy. hopefully i dont lose my head the first day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh yeah every friday is payday ;) and im looking forward to 300 dollar paychecks... 8 bux an hour + tips for a month... then itll go to 4 dollars an hour + tips... getting back on this schedule, waking up and getting ready and going to work.. and having fun at work but still being serious... learning new things, making fucking good money... im really liking it. things are looking up? hopefully ;)
*tonight me my sis & momma went to california pizza kitchen to eat and well cause the admirals were having a benefit thingy... i missed the 3-5 session in which rene bourque, craig anderson & travis moen were there...but when we got there matt keith, jason morgan & ajay baines were there :D ajay served us our food and talked to us for awhile... btw BRAVO is 187398721987x better then California Pizza Kitchen....i even told them i work at bravo and the food is good and they should come try it out and they areeee they love italian food :) they said theyd come before a game... so you can only imagine how giddy i am about that... look at all these guests im getting for my resturant! i rock! anyways back to the guys... they signed photographs for us, matt keith personalized one ;) hes gorgeous. and jason is very handsome. and they are all sooo sweet & so nice. it felt good being a foot away from members of my favorite team... the people that make me happy every game i attend... to have actual great conversations with them! i dont feel like just another fan anymore, because we have actually conversed, and theyll remember me and my sis next time they see us. i was sad brandin, mikhail & anton didnt participate today. i want to see brandin again :( anyways....im incredibly stoked for the next home game... dec 10 vs lowell.. me and the sista are going to wait again and talk to them.. and i have more cards off of ebay for them to sign! yeaaaauh!
i love the admirals so much. they just make me happy. their games get me through the week. whenever im at a game i dont care about anything else...every single guy on that team has amazing playing skills & great personalities. i look forward to spending more time with them, as a member of the booster club ill be going to more events & ill be chatting with them whenever posssssible! and shoot when they come into Bravo im going to get the whole resturant to give them thunderous applause... and i plan on presenting an idea to my manager about them doing a benefit dinner thing there or something, to promote business and junk. <3
my chanel earrings from ebay came in the mail today ;) it made me happy.
