Went to go see X3 at midnight Thursday night, so technically Friday morning. I thought it was all right. I mean, I haven't seen the first two so I don't have anything to compare it too. I love seeing movies with full audiences because everyone has interacting reactions. It feels a lot like when you go to the theatre (for plays).
This past week has consisted of the Seabury Quinn Jr. Playwright's Festival, which is for the MFA Playwrights. The guy who it was named after was there and he's like 90 years old and just this tiny old man with a walking stick and a feisty attitude mixed with confusion. After a reading on Friday, his comment was, "I don't have anything to say because I don't understand what happened. Charles, can someone please take me back to your house now?" (Charles is the head of the MFA Playwrighting program whom he was staying with.) Then after a play reading yesterday which heavily talked about sexual issues, he said, "It seems like it was written by a very, very intelligent 15 year old that just learned how to masturbate." He also included the word fuck in a few of his reviews. This man cracked my shit up.
