(no subject)
Yeah, so it's been a while. My birthday came and went, 22...what an awfully boring age, ah well. I got a ton of records for this occassion, so that's a plus. I also got a camera, it is pretty amazing. Last night me, Annie, Fabi, and Azra went to a sock hop at Maguire's Hill in Ft. Lauderdale. Man, they played some good music it's just too bad they close so early. However, this did give us a chance to try something I've seen more times than I can count but have never ventured to: the Peter Pan diner. Damn good diner food for super cheap, I was impressed. More shows are coming up and now I've finally found good people to go with, it only took me 3 1/2 years to find them...
Also, we are working hard with the Umoja Village project. Last night we deconstructed the shanty we built on campus and stored the materials at the SOA. There were many ideas floating around the other night that I'm excited about. I think C.A.S.I.S. will be heading to FAU in Boca to give a lecture on gentrification next week, I suppose Annie and I should get prepared since we're taking over the reigns...haha. And then next Friday we're having a BBQ at Umoja so if anyone is interested in going that would be awesome.
Also, instead of doing a whole other post: I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO THE B SIDE OF THE GROOVIE GHOULIES' WORLD CONTACT DAY.
