jedediah smith redwoods, in del norte county, stout grove...
these are from my cell phone. james took some great shots, one is on my FB of me with my hand on a tree. i had no idea he was taking the pic and i was totally having a moment in the redwoods, thinking about how could i ever leave this area. redwood country. it's my heart. i love the picture because that moment is captured forever. anyway, we took a spur of the moment trip up to stout grove and these are what i got. our next goal is to find the grove of the titans, some of the largest redwoods in the world. their location is kept pretty secret in attempts to keep them protected from damage foot traffic could do to the roots. we are pretty sure we drove right past where you sneak in to get to them, and we have a good feeling we know right about around where the grove is, so we'll go back soon. i'll post james' pics from this trip another time but for now... bone_machine you said you wanted some nature pics, well here ya go lovely. <3
