"I'm on a Skriker high!!!"

Yeah, I announced that to the streets of Bethlehem. Whatever.

I am taking a moment to breathe from all the stuff I'm in the midst of. First of all, today we had an electrical glitch, which set off the fire alarms and sent everyone in the building out into the air of winter's coldest day yet without any warning. A was wearing short sleeves. Sucks to be here. Actually, I gave her the coat I was conveniently wearing, since I had a Gryffindor sweater in underneath it. And my Schroder scarf!

Two new icons -- both from Sam Starbuck's wonderful tales, I'm pleased, because I finally have an 'artists' icon, for when I'm in the dork theatre mood. Lolle. Um, also, dyed my hair a temporary "cinnaberry" last night. Looks okay, though a little mauve/maroonish, which I'm not excited about. And tomorrow is Buela Natasha's birthday. (The cow that I babysat. She's friends with my new TY, an adorable puppy I've re-named William.)

Ok. Now. I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED ABOUT THE SKRIKER. You have no idea. Well, maybe the caps gave you some idea, but...I'm so excited. We had a meeting today, which went rather well. Auditions are next Thursday. And Mia and I had a Bethlehem adventure:

I wanted to talk to the people at Donegal Square about sponsoring the show, since we need some money. So we went down there. First of all, they were selling these beautiful teapots for TEN DOLLARS. So I bought one. It's burgundy. Then, we talked to the cashier, who told us to write a letter with info, blah blah blah. So we were excited. And Mia said, "look at these coll Celtic symbol cards" so we did, and I found one that was so perfect for the lazy susan stage idea, with little whatsits for turning it, and I took a pic of it with my cell. Then we saw Teagan and her mum going into a restaurant, and we didn't join them, but I forgot to tell her about the pic I took with me cell. So Mia and I went to the Moravian Bookshop to ask about sponsoring and got the same answer. Then we stopped at the restaurant to show Teagan, and I said I'd look up what it meant, but then she decided to buy it (well, we went to get it). And Mia is like, "duh, it says the meaning on the back of the card!" And it was the symbol for "the dance". I can't even say how beautiful it was!!!! And the manager was even there when we went back, and we talked for a sec and he gave us a "definite maybe", especially about donating something to raffle of something. V. exciting.

Now, for a frustrated rant, though, that I've given before and told my mum today. I hate that people are at this school who are not thoroughly possessed, impassioned and obsessed with their art. One should ache to be in the theatre if that's your passion. I can't stand how people do as little work as possible when they could be working on a show! GR! That's it. I just can't even get it.
