At long last
Grandma is home from the hospital. My sister has made the transition to living at her house. Part of that transition has been cleaning up Grandma's house. Grandma hasn't been able to clean it up for herself for the past six years at least. She can handle a little bit of dusting and vacuuming but that's about it. My sister Brandy has been cleaning up the bedrooms and Grandma's bathroom. I tackled the pantry today.
The pantry has been overrun by mice in the last couple years. They left droppings everywhere. I had to pull everything out of the pantry and dispose of about a fourth of it. The rest I washed up. I vacuumed up the droppings and cleaned all the shelves with bleach and water. The pantry is neat and tidy now. I've organized what's left and put it on shelves according to the item.
My sister has done the bulk of the difficult work cleaning the bedrooms and the bathroom. I hope Grandma is happy with the progress and that Brandy will maintain it.
