Oh the IRONY!

We must hunt down and punish terrorists, and those who offer aid to terrorists... unless the plan is devised by a democrat. Then we will accuse them of aiding and abetting the enemy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't the current administration done nothing against these four individuals other than give them figurative tea?

True, but hypocrisy aside, it's worth asking. Going into Iraq has been a disaster, and Pakistan has many of the same issues, plus nukes. Admittedly, I think Obama would screw up the execution phase less than Bush did, but that doesn't keep it from being a bad idea.

I don't support any invasion of Pakistan. I'm not opposed to surgical strikes against heavily researched and unquestionable terrorist bases, but I'd even seek governmental cooperation for those missions. Despite my opinions, Pakistan is a much more likely target for attack than Iraq ever was. The irony is overwhelming in all this.

And to be fair, he did not exactly say he "would invade Pakistan." What he said was that *if* there were credible reports of Al-Qaeda in Pakistan, that he would carry out military action against Al-Qaeda even *if* the Pakistani government did not agree.

That makes much more sense, though I'm still deeply ambivalent on it.
