I don't especially care for the guy...but this is depiction is really in poor taste. Would we like something similar posted about Elizabeth Edwards? Two prominent people from separate sides of the aisle essentially got handed death sentences last week. Can't we even come together in empathy to raise awareness about cancer? Or must every ill that befalls a foe become grist for the political mill?

Obviously you don't or you wouldn't have posted this.

I guess it'll be ok when someone posts a shirt of Elizabeth Edwards with John standing over her and the caption "I can't wait for this bitch to keel over so I can sue her doctors!" by your example as long as they add some half assed, flat out lying disclaimer like "Though I don't agree with the sentiment of this."

I've seen plenty of Cox & Forkum cartoons dragging their knuckles in just that way. Rachel Corrie comes to mind.

Personally I want to kick the ass of anyone that'd cheer over this situation. I don't care what his politics may be, or what Mrs. Edwards politics may be... there is no excuse to laugh at someones illness that is going to eventually kill them.

Obviously you didn't get the memo...LIFE is a death sentance . It will Kill you. ...and i find that fact hilarious. Well, that and the Three Stooges.

It happens though. I've taken care of more than a few people with terminal illnesses, and jokes just happen during the day to day. Sometimes it even breaks the tension. There is an apporpriate side of poor taste. Good poor taste isn't mean though.
