It seems awfully cruel to mock Sarah Palin for being stupid. It's not her fault she's stupid, nor is it her fault that Alaskans elected her Governor nor is it her fault that John McCain thought she'd make a good VP nom.

Fundamentally, she consistently seems to be the victim of people who take advantage of her stupidity, and she's just not smart enough to turn down the people who are abusing the fact that she's deeply stupid.

This is sad.

She's fiercely proud of her stupidity.

To add, it's pretty easy to misspeak in a speech, and switching up an address should be a pretty innocent infraction. It's not like a policy position or derogatory statement.

But she makes these mistakes all the time. This isn't a one off thing. She even gets a ton of stuff wrong in speeches that are prepared by others and laid out in front of her. All she has to do is push air through her vocal chords and move her facial muscles in the appropriate manner. Yet somehow...

I don't expect everyone to know the address of the White House straight out of their brain. I do expect political speech writers and politicians to know.

Not disagreeing, just saying that this seems like a bit of a pot shot, especially when there is good material out there.
