I can't remember the last time I ate either one of those.

Exactly. The North American cougar was obviously not nearly as tasty as a Twinkie, so no one gave a damn.

And it is genuinely sad.

Western Black Rhino too. Species extinction is a cruel legacy to ones children.

I heard about the eastern cougar but that's probably because i'm a hunter. Never had a twinkie don't wanna have one either.

If it had, then your child may have known one IRL. But no longer. If it had a flavor instead of a hunger, it would have fared better. But the human race cannot abide a species with a similar taste for warm blood.

No other option. Here is the thing about that, its not up to me or you how our children feel about species extinction, but its has to be the worst stewardship imaginable to take away their choices.

The disappearance of the eastern puma is under debate. We had a sighting in my area pre-2011 and it got pretty heated. Actually, we had several sightings, but most of them turned out to be other things. One of them wasn't immediately dismissed. It breaks my heart that these creatures may be gone for good. They are beautiful animals that play a vital role in our area.

I couldn't possibly care less about Twinkies.
