Exactly.

I remember that for a while they were using the slogan “easier than stealing and almost as cheap” to promote iTunes. But the entertainment industry still hasn't learned the lesson.

I'm starting to think the movie people may not learn until it's too late for them. For instance, you can't get How to Train Your Dragon anywhere but by buying a physical disc right now. That's just dumb!

For the most part, no kidding. HtTYD however is a rare gem, a Dreamworks movie that isn't about anthropomorphized animals doing goofy crap with no other extant plot. There are about three or four movies that come out each year that I end up saying to myself, I'd be missing out if I hadn't seen them.

yep, pretty much. it only takes a small handful of incidents like this, and the idea of simply turning to piracy first and not even bothering with the disappointing intermediate step starts to look more and more appealing...

I had the exact same thing happen to me yesterday with Gargoyles. A full half of the 15 year old series isn't available anywhere.
