Sure, but ten times worse.

Yeah, I'll give you that much. The democrats are at least much slower.

I prefer my politicians antipathic instead of antagonistic.

You tell Afghan and Pakistani farmers whose livestock, fields, and children have all been bombed that Obama's not antagonistic.

Which excuses Obama intensifying the war effort there?

Yeah, let's make sure the war criminals and rapists in the Northern Alliance get in power. That's much better.

Yes it does. Trying to put an end to the thing Bush started and then half-assed for years so it kept going while he got his toy soldiers and spent them on his extra special pet war that had nothing to do with actual threats to the U.S. is the right thing to do.

It seems to me that the best way to end a war with a country that didn't ever attack or have the capacity to attack the US would be to withdraw the US troops immediately.

And let the region go to shit? Not a good idea.

Like I said above, the region's not gonna be doing a lot better if the US and its allies "win".

Scenario 1: We keep bombing.
Result: Conservatives wank on and on about how militant and hypocritical Obama/liberals are.

Scenario 2: We stop bombing.
Result: Conservatives wank on and on about how reckless and naive Obama/liberals are.

In a no-win situation, we might as well just do what we think is right and screw the other side's opinion.

You think a destructive military prescence in a foreign country is the right thing to do?
