Indeed! Those darned Democrats...passing all these bailout bills giving companies tens of billions of dollars and then they get angry when someone actually wants to pay it back!

The nerve!

Since you still haven't responded to this, I'll post again...

Plain and simple, you are attempting to pass off last Fall's Bailout-a-Palooza as a Democratic idea that they somehow forced Bush to go along with (poor weak Bush!). The facts do not bear this out and you have not presented any evidence otherwise.

As I wrote, the bailouts were the design of President Bush and Henry Paulson. Congress didn't create them. That'd be like saying that the decision to invade Iraq was that of the congressional leadership because they passed the resolution for it, and that somehow Bush and Cheney and everyone else just went along.

They passed the bailout bill, yes... but only because Bush and Paulson (you do know that the President sets the agenda, right) told them that if they didn't, it would be economic Armageddon (eeek!) and that they would economic blood on their hands ( ... )

But it's the Democrats fault! It has to be, because nothing a Republican does is wrong, it was just screwed up by a Democrat!

Why can't you just accept that like he has?

Obama's continued support for the bailout scheme has the potential to see him counted among the Bad Presidents, no matter what else he does.
