Sometimes it feels like I've been here for so long I can hardly imagine what it would be like to go back home. Wouldn't it seem just a little bit more boring? But, of course, everybody says you'll lose your memories when you go home. I think that's what happened the one time I did, but nobody really knows for sure if that's what happens every ( Read more... )

I almost don't think I'd mind. Except for the part where people are always going home and the curses that hurt people.

Well, maybe not permanently. There are things at home I need to do. But if I was going to be really selfish and all my friends could be here, I wouldn't mind.

Having some friends from one's own world here does make it more bearable.

Still, I'd much prefer it without the curses, as you said.

Some aren't so bad, but there's a reason why they're called curses after all.

I do, yes. They were here for a little while. Sometimes I think it's better for them to be at home than here, though I could use their company.

For most of the people I know I'm not sure I can even say that much. They might be safer here, even if they can't see their families and have to deal with everything else here. I'm sorry you have to be without them, though.
