Just seen some videos of the interface on the newly-announced Palm Pre.
Wow.
I think this is very likely to be my next phone. About the only thing it lacks is memory expandability, but with 8GB of onboard memory, I'll probably cope.
Best of all, since it's the new Palm OS, MobileDB and Mobipocket will presumably be ported to it, so I'll be able to keep my ebooks and databases without having to mess about changing formats. And it's got all the features of new smartphones that I've been missing as my Treo 650 has been aging. WiFi, GPS, accelerometer.
And it's oh, so sleek and pretty.
I'd prefer a side-sliding full-body keyboard, but nothing is ever going to be perfect, is it?
