I can't really say I'll miss Aveline, because I've seen her so very rarely over the last ten years or so. I never really got to know her as well as I'd have liked to; her path in life went in very different directions to mine, with only a few scattered crossroads ( Read more... )

Is this the Aveline that used to do community education panels at the AIDS council in Canberra? If so, what happened? My partner used to do those panels with her and hadn't heard.

Yes, it was her.
She suffered a massive brain aneurism on Thursday 25th, was hospitalised at St Vincents and went into a coma after going into cardiac arrest and having her heart restarted.
She started failing on Sunday despite life support, life support was turned off and she
passed away peacefully.

Thanks for the information. It's rather unsettling when the universe starts playing eeny, meeny, miny, moe like that.
