I've just been accepting all my life that at least some of the New Testament was historically accurate. It seems quite likely that there is far less than I thought. Other than places and institutions, and the important personages of the time (apart from Jesus and his pals), it seems quite likely that it is all stolen from other myths.
Of course, Christianity is never going to admit to this. They seem to be incapable of decoupling the morals and benefits of Christianity from the myths of Christ.
