Honest Rationalists are severely disadvantaged.
In the argument between scientists and creationists, the scientists, and we rationalists who trust their intellectual honesty, are at a severe disadvantage.
It's called honesty.
I'm pretty sure this is why creationism and "Intelligent Design" are still talking points, why anyone gives them any credence, more than a hundred years after the facts of evolution became known.
Because, you see, when a statement is proven false, scientists abandon it and find a new answer.
Creationists don't do that. They still make claims about fuman footprints found with dinosaurs, giant boats found on mountainsides, and many other claims that have been exposed as fakery, admitted to be hoaxes or April Fool's jokes, or simply defeated through plain simple logic.
