Yet another Christian misrepresents my philosophy.

Yoiu can tell this quiz was written by someone who falls into the "Judaism/Christianity section in two ways:
  • It is the box at the top left
  • Some of the questions assume Christian thinking and/or misrepresent other positions.
As an example of the second, I give you the question "Do you believe that eventually, science will be able to explain everything about our existence and the world?" Now who is going to truthfully answer "yes" to that one? Certainly not a completely rational materialist. We know that science will likely never explain everything about our existence. Serious, scientific-minded people don't expect it to. Only religions claim to have the answers to everything.

And then there's "Is it important in this life to live every moment to its fullest, and try to do everything that interests you even if some people consider it immoral?" Yes, because people without faith have no ethics. There's a huge grey are of "This looks interesting, but I consider it immoral/unethical." in between the two poles of that question, but it is written to prevent you choosing that path. There are some people who consider masturbation to be immoral. The Catholic church still considers using condoms to be immoral. In fact, I'm starting to wonder how anyone other than a complete hedonist could truthfully answer that question at all.

Or "Do you actively work out, and try to maintain physical health in all aspects of your life?" Boy, that one's got me wondering which direction it moves me on the scale. Here was me thinging I didn't actively work out because I was lazy, yet this person seems to think it's because I'm more faith-oriented (I checked).

Oh, and don't get me started on the idea that atheists can't be artistic!

You fit in with:
Atheism
Your ideals mostly resemble those of an Atheist. You have very little faith and you are very focused on intellectual endeavors. You value objective proof over intuition or subjective thoughts. You enjoy talking about ideas and tend to have a lot of in depth conversations with people.
60% scientific.
80% reason-oriented.
