Last semester there was this kid in my 1st block class that NOONE ever talked to. Plenty of people talked about him, and made fun of him, but not once did someone speak to him as if he were a human being.
I'd always wanted to talk to him. I wondered what his voice sounded like, and what his personality and sence of humor were like.
Well, Friday he came into my work with his mother. I was running register and as I saw him slowly coming down the line I knew that this could be the best chance I ever get to talk to him. So, I did.
As soon I said 'Hey Kenny' his eyes lit up and he began to smile. It was cool. Im pretty sure that me talking to someone has never had such an impact as it did when I said his name. We stood there and talked for a good while.
He turned out to be a really cool guy.
I'll never forget the look on his face. It was simply...amazing.
