them not being able to get as successful jobs as the whites. If they do not receive as successful jobs as the whites, African Americans will constantly be kept in a class beneath the gereral wealth status of the whites. If they are kept poor, then they will continue to have poor schools. This results in a never-ending cycle of African Americans being kept in the poorer communities; thus, being segregated racially. There also seems to be a racial problem in the way government is structured. First of all, there clearly appears to be an underrepresentation of African Americans in high positions of the government. If there is not a substantial enough representation of African Americans in the governemnt, then African American issues will not be addressed. Many times, where there should be issues to consider, they would never see the light of day within the government because there is noone to bring those issues up within government officials. Thus, a lot of racial problem seem to be ignored and are even invisible in the modern day. Another major problem is the justice system within America. There are a lot more of African Americans in jail rather than whites. This seems odd largely due to the fact atht whites commit as many crimes and blacks. The major problem is in the bail system. Racism and segregation seem to be problems that appear to be invisible, yet it seems to be as big an issue as it ever was. The reason why segregation appears invisible is that there really is no guilty party that is responsible for causing it. The reason why places and institutions appear to be segregated is based on the way society is structured and on the events of the past.
