you make a very good point! i'm mos def NOT going to be straightening anything other than brushing out my bangs every morning. as long as i keep them trimmed short, i can maintain. and really, i imagine i'll combine certain aspects of these hairdos into one monster mish-mash.

yr so lucky to have a good stylist! after i hacked my bob off, i went to a beauty school to try to get it fixed. im not sure wtf i was thinking (besides $8 haircut woo!) the minute i got home, i cut it myself again. now, no matter how fucking awful it looks, i am leaving it the fuck alone & just dealing with it til it grows out.
do you think youre leaving it long mostly or going short short short?
dude, i know how lucky i am! it sucks b/c she's expensive, so i can't go to her very often. but she is worth EVERY PENNY, so i stick with her. like, i'd go to her even if i moved to NYC! my friend who rec'd her to me gets his hair cut by her STILL, and he moved to DC two years ago. she's good!
o, man...i have straight-up, flat-out CRIED my little eyes out after getting butchered by $10 haircut places. i'd rather do it myself, and for a long time, i did. i still trim my own bangs in between cuts. amy offers one "free" bang-trim between cuts, but i'd feel bad not tipping her $5, so it's not REALLY free, then.
i'm thinking about leaving it long on the sides & chopping & thinning a lot off the back. my OG inspiration for this was some art-school looking hipster chick (no, really!!! LOL) who basically had a long, curly/wavy chelsea skinbyrd hairdo. right now, i have a LOT to play with, so i'm confident i'll end up okeh. and if not, well fuck it grows back...eventually!
