I should probably point out that, in the scenes of chapter 21 where they appear, Sabé and Padmé are both still wearing the same clothes they were when Sabé so unexpectedly collapsed, though granted Padmé has lost her headdress and Sabé has had a few items of clothing (shoes, etc.) removed so she could be tucked a little more comfortably into bed. Their gowns are, therefore, much the worse for wear.

Nabooian fashion is an odd mix of more modern sensibilities (especially when it comes to more casual clothing for young women and men) mashed together with the sort of thing one might associate more with elaborate costume dramas from the Tudor/Elizabethian, Georgian/Regency, and even Victorian/Edwardian time periods here on Earth. Markulos Bionae, though, is an artist by both proclivity and training, so he tends to wear a lot of the same sort of very plain, serviceable clothing on most days, usually involving an artist smock of some sort thrown over plain black or brown or beige pants and boots. Despite what Jelena and Keiana and Markulos decide, it is safe to assume that the mysterious redhead Markulos has seen and is sketching so busily in this chapter is actually Dané Cashillé, as she appears first to Dormé and then to Sabé, as described in earlier chapters.

Nabooian fashion is an odd mix of more modern sensibilities (especially when it comes to more casual clothing for young women and men) mashed together with the sort of thing one might associate more with elaborate costume dramas from the Tudor/Elizabethian, Georgian/Regency, and even Victorian/Edwardian time periods here on Earth. Markulos Bionae, though, is an artist by both proclivity and training, so he tends to wear a lot of the same sort of very plain, serviceable clothing on most days, usually involving an artist smock of some sort thrown over plain black or brown or beige pants and boots.
