A Fab Poem About Unicorns
Advice to Young Poets by Martín Espada
Never pretend
to be a unicorn
by sticking a plunger on your head.
Very Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. I approve.
Also, this guy? I actually like his poetry.
Most of the poems are more serious though. As in...Revolution, war -- I'm really not sure what unicorns (or people pretending to be unicorns) are doing in the middle of his collection (The Republic of Poetry).
But I still think it's a pretty awesome poem.
