Oh, time for drama wrap ups part 1
So it's that time again. The time where I make incredily wtf posts about dramas I have just finished. Because I cannot push my brain to study anymore. So here goes.
I recently finished Roseate-Love. It is a Taiwanese drama out this past summer starring Rachel Liang and Tender Huang. ♥ Yes, I must confess, this is the drama that got me in love with Tender because I think he is good looking and because of his awesome name... Tender. Who wouldn't love him, right? XD But of course, it was the guys' good looks that got me to start watching this drama. YES,I AM SHALLOW. ARE YOU NOT? THEN WHY ARE WE FRIENDS? I went to Taiwan for a week in the summer, and one day when I was in the hotel room by myself, I watched TV and saw Rachel in it and I'm like. omo! She's in a drama? With really hot guys! It looked kind of stupid at first because I think she sucked majors at acting, which is still true but it's not her fault that she's never been trained at acting. And also it was her first time acting too. So I didn't really give it much thought at the time because I was just bored and it bored me even more! But later when I was back in Calgary, with pretty much nothing to do since classes hadn't been to insane/not started yet, I decided to watch it, because yes I am very much shallow.
>>Story begins with Rachel singing on stage at a concert, and it's those times where she starts a ballad song so it's quiet, and then it flashbacks to the actual story. It REALLY begins with Rachel looking for the garbage truck because her dad accidentally threw out her band's demo tape out. She's the manager of "The Next Person" an indie band trying to go major/look for a label whom her childhood friend that lives with her is the lead vocalist/keyboard person. Aka the leader. She is madly in love with him but they are more like a unrequitted love/not because they aren't actually going out but.. you know? Childhood love? lol. She folds purple origami roses because her Korea-obsessed mother told her of a magic trick when she was young. It was like... purple roses have magic powers that help you with your troubles and grants wishes. So in the story, Rachel and childhood frd say that The Next Person band would become a huge hit by the 1000th rose. She's riding her bike listening to the music of the garbage truck *(Garbage trucks in Taiwan have melody tunes to go with them. THEY SOUND LIKE AN ICE CREAM TRUCK. I totally thought that in Taiwan and I was lol'd @ this fact that it reminded me of ice cream trucks. It's because Taiwan is surprisingly clean. They throw out their garbage VERY often, which is why they have the tune to remind people to throw it out.. Like a few times a day!!)* She rushes towards the garbage melody and crashes into a guy on a motorcycle. They exchange lame lines, and she's like omo, please help me find the garbage truck or I shall throw wrath upon you. So he drives her, and stops her at the police station, LOL right? But actually the truck is right across the street. She is grateful and hurries off to look for her tape, not knowing that it is Tender whom just helped her. She later finds out Tender is going to be her co-worker, also not knowing that he is secretly the "adopted child" of the family that owns the company/the music cafe they work at. He's really just here to look at how the sales is going for the cafe and also for his very ill foster father. His foster family minus his foster dad hate him. But he is grateful to them... as he's always wanted to be a part of their family. As Rachel tries to help her childhood sweetheart and their band win competitions to get signed, she also befriends Tender because, she's kind? and he's her co-worker and kinda lonely. Her childhood friend befriends a female vocalist, Mina (real name, Tiffany). Rachel got upset because Tiff is hella hot, so she gets drunk and Tender sees her gives her a peggy back home.♥ By accident, she realizes that Tender is the child/adopted child of that old man who is ill, so she worries for him, and when the dad dies, she tries to comfort him. But he's also trying to be cool about it, and doesn't wanna show his weak side to her. Especially when she realizes that foster family hate him and don't accept him as part of the family (his family identity was unknown at first, until the father dies, and demands that Tender's name be on the family list at funeral and the media get hold of it and all. They secretly have the funeral while Tender is on a car-ride with Rachel and her band off to a singing competition. They realize this and rush back only in time to see the car off from a bridge. (aww) Tender is secretly the CEO of a D&D company which is sort of a label company. He calls himself the "Music master" and no one but company people knows the real identity of said music master. By coincidence, Rachel idolizes the music master because.. uhhh music master ftw? Everyone wants to be signed by D&D, and so does Rachel's childhood friend. He and Tiffany decide to gang up as a duo and ditch The Next Person to sign with D&D. However, at last minute, Tender goes up to him and asks if he cared more about Rachel's 1000th purple rose or a contract with D&D. He decides to give up on the contract to meet up with Rachel, whom has good news for him as someone else has also offered a contract. Unfortunately he dies. Major epic depression on Rachel. Later she decides to take over as lead vocalist in place for her childhood friend, even though she's never touched music much before. Half the band likes Mina more, but half would rather have Rachel, so it's awkward. It is known that D&D company was going to hold a singing competition for rookie bands at the music cafe. Whoever wins would get signed AND the music master was going to unveal himself. And so this is where everyone learns that Tender = music master. What a sneaky tart!! lol He's everything isn't he? XD (Note, Rachel calls him Superman in the beginning, because he appears from nowhere and rescues her from trouble! ♥ And now he happens to also be the Music Master.... ANYWAYS. I don't really care much about the Rachel part of the story other than wanting her to fall in love with Tender♥ ... Tiff and Tender also reunite because they realize that they were orphan friends back at the orphanage when they were young. BTW, Tender's foster bro is such a dick. hahaha. Foster family still hates Tender and think he's after the inheritance money... even though he isn't. He doesn't even get any inheritance money because foster dad knows Tender can take care of himself and he knew Tender didn't care about that. Foster dad's letter to Tender reveals that Tender's mom isn't dead and is very much alive, he leaves behind a picture of his real mom's back.... holding Tender when he was a baby in a hospital..... AND THEN. HE REALIZES. THAT HIS REAL BIRTH MOM IS HIS FOSTER MOM. OMG SO SCANDALOUS. He decides to test her to see for real if she really is or not. So he pretends there's something wrong with the car when he drives her out, and stops right at the hospital that he was born in. And then he leaves his wallet opened to the picture his foster dad left him. Mom sees and she has some weird attack and faints, so Tender takes her to the hospital. foster bro comes and is all YO MOFUGGGA STAY THE F AWAY FROM MY MOM YO. He's all... You steal my dad's love away from me, and now ya tryin' to steal my mom away from me too? Nooo way I'm gonna let that happen! PISSSSS OFFF. UGH I wanted to slap his face so much. I hate him.......... with so much passion. More letters from foster dad! He wants Tender to find out why mom is always so sad, and that there must be some kind of mystery/secret hidden inside her. He wants Tender to unlock it so that she could be 100% happy from now on. Which is not an easy task because mom is such a mysterious bitch. At first she thought that Tender was probably a child that foster dad had with some woman. (She's also not the birth mom of foster brother, because foster bro is foster dad's son with his first wife who died long ago). Now that they know they are related by blood, except foster bro, he's so stupid and clueless. *roll eyes* things are pretty tense... all the time. Tender also helps out Rachel in between,♥ it's very sweet but I don't really wanna talk about that. He saves her a bunch of times, helps her find her true voice and her love for music.♥ And when Rachel finally is able to stand in a pub and sing for the first time, Tender sends anonymous REAL purple roses to her and encouragement cards signed by "Purple Rose Fan" LOL. ♥ Yeah now he has a new identity that is unknown to all except for viewers. Tender is actually really so tender in here. XD Rachel's band eventually gets signed and is working hard to debut. Their producer tells her that she needs to have more feeling when composing songs. Especially in a love song, you need to have been in love. Tender walks by tells her they're going on a date starting tomorrow, just because he says so ♥ (his excuse was, because I'm the CEO, and I don't sign bands that can't compose anything assetable, lol is that a word?), and hes all why? you scared you'd fall in love with me? ♥ *smirk* and rach's all PFFT. I take up your offer mannnn! *fierce* lol. The date was so cute omona~~! WHY SO ADORABLE TENDER? ♥♥ And yeah it ends, but it's so obvious she loves on him. So things are looking good, and Tender eventually reconciles with his mom after media publishes that they are related by blood and it got all scandalous. With Rachel and Foster bro's help, Tender finds out that his mom abandoned him because she was a bit crazy when she was pregnant... she really wanted to be a singer, but got preggers with him, but she like couldn't handle it all, and was suicidal. So she thinks that giving him out to the orphange would give him a better chance at life than to be with her, when she could have harmed him or if she was suicidal... left him alone anyways. She thought she wouldn't have been a good mom. And then she finds out that Tender actually has leukemia. I think it's leukemia. Blood cancer? SO ssadddddd :( They all keep it hush hush because Tender doesn't want Rachel to find out, because it took her so long to step out of the depression of a loved one, he didn't want her to be depressed over another death..... So he announces that he is leaving town and going back to the big cities where his company is,. when in truth he is going to the hospital. This is when she realizes that Tender = Purple Rose Fan ♥ In between he continues to send purple roses for her gigs... and when they officially debutted and held their first signing event, Tender snuck out of the hospital to congratulate her, and he tried so hard to withold the pain and not faint in front of her T_T. And then he gave her a purple rose canvas painting he made himself♥ And it said it was the 1001th purple rose. And then Rachel was like. OMO, you got me a present, but I think I should be the one giving you a present since you've helped me so much. And so he was like.. well can you sing to me the song you said you wrote for me? And she's like BUT ITS NOT DONE. He said it was ok even if she hummed the tune. So she did that, and she closed her eyes, and then.. ... HE KISSED HER♥♥♥♥♥♥. And she was kinda freaked out but secretly loved it. Then Tender tries to be strong and all cool about it saying that the kiss was what he actually wanted, but since she seemed so unwilling, then she should just think of him as a normal fan and nothing more.. ever again! AND WITH THAT HE LEAVES. T____T She gets drunk leaves him voicemails. Oh she constantly leaves him voicemails by accident lol. That's how he stalks her. XD She goes to his house only to find that in his room, there's a single purple origami rose, named "0" on it, and this is when she realizes that he was the patient that she helped when she donated large amounts of blood like 5 years ago. D: It was #0 because she said it was going to be for someone special.. AND THEN. THAT WAS THE END OF IT. SHE FINDS OUT HES LIKE DYING. AND,. Well EVERYTHING LOOKS SO BAD FOR TENDERRRRR SO MUCH BLOOOOOD. And then we flashback to the stage at the concert, just like the beginning of the story, and she closes her eyes and she's like "When I open my eyes at 10" and counts to 10 (she did that twice in the story, and when she opened her eyes at 10, it was surprise surprise Tender in front of her....♥) and then.. now when she counted to 10, ..... there's a guy that you can't see the face because of the lighting, holding a single purple rose. AND THATS THE REAL END OF IT. I HATE HOW AMBIGUOUS THE ENDING IS. Like.. what if... he's dead and that's just her imagination. Or it's not him. Or.. UGH. I will pretend it is him, alive and healthy and about to propose ♥
