Oh, the power of Hanson

The past 2 weeks have been some nostalgic music time for me and my friends, and while they were on about the awesome that is N'SYNC I was always a BSB-er since I knew more of their songs, but N'SYNC had some hella catchy songs as well! (And N'Sync has the upperhand because they don't have Nick Carter as a member. Yuck! He is definitely the only thing I hate about BSB, I wish it was Nick who left BSB and not Kevin....) However, I strongly believe that everyone is overlooking the once and still is very shiny band that is Hanson!

So I've finally decided to dedicate an entry to the awesome that is them. I know there were rather a lot of people who felt discomfort when Hanson first debutted because of their ultra longass hair in which people just point to them and say "Hey, it's the girlband." Which is rather sad, because Hanson songs are VERY mighty. They can sing well (then and now) And yes I do admit that though Zac didn't hit puberty at age 11 yet, his voice really did sound rather girly, but come on, at least they were young, and had nice songs and didn't go off tune. And now that they are past 20, they're married, have children, and definitely have a voice change thanks to that of puberty. So they do sound more manly, which is super awesome because now it's like majority of their albums are their own songs and they sound hot. XD
Mainly known for their hit song Mmmbop and Where's the Love, though my personal favourites are If Only and Save Me  from their This Time Around album. I think that Taylor is absolutely delicious to look at whereas Zac is really adorable, except for when he looks too chubby. But I like fat on a guy. XD I love that one clip where he comments about Paris Hilton, stating that "she's famous for doing nothing, or.... she's famous for doing.... lots of people... or something.... o_O" XD Kinda brilliant no? I kinda love how he just says it out loud <3 Reminds me a bit of Jaejoong when he just blabs out the most unexpected things. Isn't he great? And the interview on Chelsea Lately where they explain what mmmbop means to them, and something about the Hanson cults there are out there, and then Taylor goes and says something about them smoking pot, but Zac kinda shouts out "uhhh.. no they're kinda like.. cooking with pots.. and.. stuff..." and then about how Taylor has 3 kids, and how they all plan on having more children, Zac is all "Well yeah, we're working on it, I mean we'll populate the world, and all that and we'll run everything... the world will be a really great place. XD" it's so amusing I love their talk about crazy fans too. How some of them hide under the car and try to surprise them but they never think about how "no matter how awesome their outfit is, they are now covered in grease" XD Fangirls FTW!

I love that they've ventured to their own things and how charitable they are. They went to South Africa in 2006, where they made the song Great Divide, and I personally think it's through that experience that change their lives a lot. They went to the Darfur Now screening where Taylor said how they (us) aren't just the awareness generation where it was important to spread awareness about these kinds of issues around the world, but that we are also the action generation, where it is possible for us to start and take action to help solve these issues. We are able to make things possible if we try. In which they have. In 2007, they started a "The Walk Tour" where they brought awareness to TOMS Shoes' "Shoe Drop" campaign (for every pair of shoes sold, the company donated another pair to children in Africa). Hanson would ask fans to join them on a 1-mile barefooted walk before each concert which shows how an average African child has to go through on a daily basis. They later published a book titled "Take the Walk" that goes along with their "Walk Around the World Tour" in which I believe buying the book and also their The Walk album raises funds to other aids in Africa. -walk tour part from their wikipedia page. XD
Don't you think they're so amazing and inspirational? And at such young ages too. So people, give me a break from all the Jobro chaos! I don't think it's possible for me to like Jobro unless something epic happens. I tried a bit of their music and I honestly don't like it at all. =\
