I have discovered that if you wish to work in the Pacific Northwest that you need to put your personality into 1st maybe 2nd gear and expect a long, leisurely, scenic route.
I interviewed for a position on Feb 24th. Although they have contacted all of my references two weeks ago, I have not heard boo from them about their job. That may be a blessing in disguise.
While I was feeling ignored by the above mentioned job I discovered 2 other jobs that I may be interested in. They have also been slow in response.
The least favorite, as far as location, contacted me 2 weeks ago and set up a phone interview. I had that yesterday. It has some strong benefit points which makes it more interesting than I thought it might be.
My prime job, at the University of WA in Seattle let my application sit for 3 weeks. I finally got an email about setting up a time to have a phone interview today. We will see how fast they get back to me on that.
So! This is for a certain wolfie that hopefully still has some hope that the pack might get closer. Yes, I am still working on it. I would probably be there by now if it was left totally up to me. Maybe I will be moving by Christmas.
Edit: The second job called to set up the onsite interview today. Probably will be next week if everyone that I need to meet are available.
