I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaccccckkkkk! :-D
I went into the hospital on June 12, calling 911, which took me to the ER at UW's Northwest Hospitl that afternoon.
When I got there, they took my temperature and became alarmed, and then the lady doctor there called my regular primary care phsician over in Pscific Medical Center, First Hill, some way across town, and they put their heads together on the phone, considered my symptoms, and realized I haad pneumonia. I was stunned -- I had never in my life thought I;d come down wit pneumonia. So they admitted mere there and began running large amounts of antibiotics into my system via an IV.
By yesterday, June 14 they decided, from abatement of my original symptoms, that I was ready to go home, and discharged me. Everyone there had been so kind, and the pampering I got put me in 7th Heaven. I came hom to a very irritated cat who, after reassuring me that she MIGHT let me back in to the apartment, started climbing all over me, purring and head-butting me and giving a good wash.<3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Another thing they caught and solved was that for the last three weeks or so I'd been massively constipated. They gave me laxatives and stool softeners and finally resorted to a suppository. About 5 minutes after they gave me the suppository I had to GO in the *worst* way, and ended up loosing about at least 6 pounds of fecal matter via the commode, and on, G-!, did it ever feel good. That was on Monday evening, June 12. On the morning of Tuesday, June 13, I was delivered of another such abomination, lightening my load still further. And then I got to go home yesterday, Wednesday, June 14, where I am now.
