http://www.rollingstone.com/culture/news/green-going-gone-the-tragic-deforestation-of-the-chaco-20140728 Monolithic agricultural companies are claiming they can practice sustainable farming in the heart of one of the world's most important wildernesses. The ravaged state of the Paraguayan Chaco forest is telling a different story.
So if you don't agree, please go to Paraguay and photograph and film the Chaco to prove it hasn't been devastated by this "sustainable" farming.
A nd if you don't care, but do care about the oxygen you breathe, consider: green plants make oxygen available to the whole world through photosynthesis. Great forests, especially rain forests, liberate vast amounts of oxygen to the atmosphere, oxygen we depend on for life. Destroy those forests and atmospheric oxygen content declines -- and so does the health and viability of all animal life, including us, that requires oxygen for life itself.
