Finally!
I've been working on Club Vesta since around 1994. It's a story of two women who, one way and another, end up entering a luxurious club for women that turns out to be an exotic version of Dante's Inferno. It's taken forever to get my characters to the last-but-one level of the place, the Level of the Abandoned Goddesses, and get them through it. Today they left that level and began the descent to the black, frozen lake that Dante called Cocytus, the place where traitors of various kinds are punished by having to lie on or be buried in the ice. I've got the journey to the Center of that level -- Level IX, equivalent to the 9th Circle of Dante's Inferno -- and to the Exit beyond that pretty well mapped out, so with luck I should be able to finish off the characters' journey within a month or less. :-D
This journey is also my own journey, a sort of spiritual pilgrimage, and by getting to the end of it I may be able to work something out of my system. I hope.
