http://expanding-x-man.livejournal.com/663366.html a future without jobs? Who needs'em anyhow?
I think this is thought provoking, even if we are not quite at the stage where it is entirely relevant. Still, possibly the whole world will become one big Burning Man? With barter and only coffee and ice for actual sale? If it is as entertaining, I don't see why not.
I mean, I don't see why this wouldn't be desirable? Of course, it wouldn't all be so hot and not as much sand. Humans have a way of complicating things, so there will be new issues to deal with if leisure time is that plentiful and needs are mostly fulfilled through exchange. But, hey, that's what keeps life interesting! Welcome to the future acropolis of ideas and weird dancing on trampolines for clothes and rides to the next party.
This isn't an entirely new take on economic evolution, but the ideas are generally fresh, and the implications fascinating. Enjoy.
