You know, those fires have to be kept from spreading. Why not kill two birds with one stone and combine endless water under high pressure (from the Thames) with great amounts of detergent? Nobody can riot and loot while being swept along in a torrent of suds and mud and others caught in the river, and the water would help contain and extinguish the fires. The rioters and looters couldn't see well through all the suds, and it would be an easy matter for the cops to wait for individeuals to finally stagger out of the suds and flooding and collar them as they stumble over the asphalt, trying to get out of the melee. I hope somebody thinks of this in time to stop the burning, the rioting, the looting before everything is lost, and many lives along with it.
