We could hear the grass grow
When we were young,
Count each wingstroke
Of a flying bee
And live one full day
Within an hour.
I have a coat made of time
Whose cloth was woven
Of the fleece of the sheep
Of the Fates . . .
The Norns have rained on me,
And the coat shrank.
