I just looked Terminator 2 up on the Seattle Public Library site. They have it, and I put it on hold. Thanks! XD

Of course, all this stuff is just nuclear porn, but as long as it's well-done, I'll watch it. Also, I grew up during the first two decades of the Cold War, and spent the entire period 1955 (when I first became aware of what could happen) until September 1991 in a state of Stygian terror over the spectre of nuclear war. I was very well aware of exactly how it would play out, thanks to my love of the sciences and of hard science fiction, which often worked that into stories. When the USSR fell apart, I felt like Atlas would have after somehow getting rid of that huge burden on his shoulders. There's danger now, of course, especially from EMP attacks and nuclear devices that could be used on cities, but for some reason I'm not all that concerned about it.
