What impresses me most about the . . . protestors gathered in Wisconsin's state capitol is how eager they are to destroy the Constitution, along with their offspring's future. I wonder what they'll tell their grandchildren someday: "Grandpa helped destroy your future, sweetie! Isn't that cool

I don't think that they grasp that the long-term consequence of legitimizing street violence as a tool of politics will be an escalation to military violence, and eventually rule by whoever can command the biggest armed force to march on the capital. They'd need to know something about history and political science to grasp why.

Still, it's possible that throwing statements like mine on their appalling behavior and its implications into their faces might get at least some of them to reconsider what they're doing. Maybe. I hope. Which is probably futile, but still. In the meantime, I'm not sure they should be allowed to produce young. The current generation of them has just too many defectives to be easy about that.
