I started checking my email inbox a minute or so ago. One email's subject line was "You won't believe who's behind the Wisconsin protests!" My response: "Great Cthulhu?" Next email: "How to outsmart your enemies and subdue the Earth for Christ!" My response: "Get a Nintendo and enter Publisher's Clearing House's latest sweepstakes?"
These responses are known as "frivolous." The emails -- well, I've seen subject lines like that zillions of times, and frankly, not only do they not interest me, but I'm starting to think of ways to work them into comedy routines. If only the senders knew . . .
