I just made a
reply to a comment on one of my posts, to wit:
I don't. You could try checking
Weather.com for your zip code every day or two -- they show likely weather and temperatures for 36 hours. There's also
Old Farmer's Almanac, and in particular,
their pages on weather and climate, though they aren't always accurate. Your best bet is to get a good outdoors digital thermometer and mount it where you can see it from a convenient window, and check it every afternoon. If the temperature has fallen into the mid-40s (Fahrenheit) by around 4 p.m., it could freeze during the night. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.
Now, that one came out all right -- but it didn't the first time I made it, even though the two "versions" of my reply were identical, word for word and character for character, including formatting. When I hovered my cursor over the first "version," for the first one, instead of
Old Farmer's Almanac, I saw
Old Farmer's Almanac, and for the second, instead of
Visit their pages on weather and climate, I saw
their pages on weather and climate (hover your mouse over these to see what I mean.
This was true even though what I actually put up there was
Old Farmer's Almanac and
Visit their pages on weather and climate. I have no idea why. LJ stuck something in there that wasn't even there. Why?
