Why liberals are such idiots

The process of progressive, frequently repeated mutual hypnosis described in this earlier post is not just a technique peculiar to Scientology. Using pats on the back and other positive stimuli to substitute for the E-meter, plus, in many cases, certain nasty social, psychological, or even physical sticks to reinforce the process as needed, institutions ranging from medieval religious organizations and political re-education camps used by Communists and their ilk to force their subjects into desired molds to modern schools and universities as well as the mainstream media use the same sort of process to try to make those in their power/care become ideal instruments and agents of those institutions. These are, as the man said, brainwashing techniques. But they aren't always in and of themselves brutal. They foster an addictive process by which those participating in the process, whether Scientologists or Communists or today's "liberals" or any other followers of one or another destructive cult, come to crave the trances and the release the process gives them, and return to it again and again to get their fix. Watch children who attend a "liberal" school chew over with one another what they're being taught on the playground or in other social interactions: through a dialectical process, all participants repeat and reinforce those teachings and, in doing so, experience a pleasure which, though intellectual in nature, is very real, with strong emotional roots, grounded as it is in their need to be accepted by their superiors and their peers.

The process is all the stronger and more likely to take if the participants are not really aware of the nature and implications of just what they are participating in, because that lack of objective awareness of the process makes it very unlikely that they will throw up an effective resistance against it. It is strongest of all upon very young children, those who are physically and/or psychologically debilitated, and those who are addicted to certain types of drugs, because these conditions render the mind much more vulnerable to the process than it would otherwise be. Scientology is an outstanding case in point, serving as a showcase model of the process that compares well both to other individual cases and the general case. Those who wish to understand why people become the sort of mindless, knee-jerk, Left-leaning types that we refer to today as "liberals," though they are 180 degrees removed from classical liberals, really ought to check out what ex-Scientologists, the good people at the Lisa McPherson Trust, Xenu TV, Anonymous, and people like "Agent," who shows us how Scientology actually works in the videos in that earlier post, have to say about Scientology and Scientologists. It isn't hard to extrapolate what they have to say about Scientology to the general case of any form of mind-control, even something as "mild" and apparently harmless as afternoon children's TV fare and the way too many of our schools are "educating" our children -- and once you do, it becomes easy to see why so many Americans who seem on the surface to be intelligent, sophisticated, and successful in life are actually quite stupid in so many respects.
