In short, "good" Scientologists have given up the ability to love -- the love of family, the love of friends, love of humanity, love of one's land, love of one's world, the love of lovers, love of one's children. Above all, they have ceased to love their own children.

In place of love they have instead the all-consuming desire to promote Scientology, the thing which, to be frank, regards them all as so much food to be chewed up and then, later, shat out when it has assimilated all the nourishment it wants from them. That desire is a counterfeit of love; it will give them some emotional highs, but it is anchored only in the bureaucratic horror that is Corporate Scientology, a thing that, like all other bureaucracies, neither knows nor cares about anything but perpetuating its own existence. In the end, unless they leave Scientology first, it will devour their souls and take their lives, leaving them nothing.
