I went back to Serra yesterday to help with the badminton team. It feels so different yet at the same time, the place itself seems unchanged. There are still the same buildings, same floor in the gym, same tennis courts, same door to the gym yet just different people. High school seems to me like a distant past where things were made more complicated than they were and all together a happier time. Sometimes I miss it A LOT yet a part of me can't imagine how it used to be.
Someone once said "lower your expectations and you will be happier."
It might sound negative but sometimes this is true. Things are maybe easier when it's simple so it doesn't require thinking and especially overcomplicating.
