Wow. So, yeah, 7th Sea. After eight whole sessions of the rest of the party playing "You Don't Know Jacques" and wondering what the heck was up with my character, his backstory finally caught up with him and he was forced to reveal his hand. Well, most of it, at least. It took forever, too, as paranoia has had over a year to sink its roots deep into Jacques' perception of the world. But, well, things were starting to spiral out of his control, and there was a 6 1/2-foot-tall Highlander with a huge claymore and--well, it was one of those "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situations. Of course, now that they know who he is, so begins the long-delayed process of learning who he is.
It was a very fun session, though (or perhaps because) we were all a bit loopy and easily distractable. The drama dice flowed like wine, and the wine flowed like...um, more wine?
Also, the bread was delicious.
Work is being dreadfully boring lately. I wrote up this entry because I'm bored and it's rainy and all I really want to do on days like this is go home and nap. There is Easter this weekend, so there's something to look forward to. But I have to go through the gamut of Holy Week to get to Easter, and that means I'll be singing at four masses on four consecutive days. Last year, the Saturday evening Easter Vigil Mass was a marathon affair that lasted nigh on three hours, though word on the street is they might trim it down this year so it's a slightly more manageable marathon. Still...by the time Easter rolls around I will be wrung out and sore-throated and darn it, the chocolate and the soda had better be flowing!
Ah well, better get back to work. I think when I get home that I might try drawing the Highlander, or as I'm going to start calling him, Mr. Jerky McJerkface.
