February!
Already this month is looking to be substantially full. And here is a little something as I continue my quest to put a dent in a number of "housekeeping" projects.
It's a to-do list! For February! Imagine that.
NON-CREATIVE GOALS:
-Clean out filing cabinet
-Make dental appointment
-Frame & hang pictures
-Get new CD/Cassette player
-Update account spreadsheet
-Try at least one new recipe
CREATIVE GOALS:
-Color Cherry Jubilee picture
-Read one market
-Submit one story to market
-Finish new story
That's right, I'm going to attempt to finish the new novel I'm working on. I figure giving myself a firm goal will help push me along, and also I think I'm close enough to the end that this is a reasonable goal.
I'm also feeling pretty good about my current focus on house projects. I've had some things piled around my apartment ever since we moved in, and some projects have been sitting around awaiting attention for longer than that. Some things just need to be done regularly, and I think I'll remember them better if I write them down. Eventually, probably come March, I'll be embarking on a major photo album project. At any rate, I feel like I finally can make the time to do these things, and have the ambition to do so, and it's making me feel accomplished and happy.
