Love is a poverty you couldn't sell

i was working in the Laurelwood Dining Hall last night at The Highlands (Laurelwood is what they call the place where all the old people go when they go crazy) and i had to vacuum up the floors after everyone left. some old bat left her fucking dentures on the floor, and it is definitely not my job to pick up those nasty yellow choppers. there was still food in them! gross.

the leadership trip was a lot of fun on the bus ride there and the bus ride home. other than that, everything that could have possibly gone wrong - did. the first day was a lot of fun but it was really hot. the last two days, it was like there was a monsoon outside. i went to the last 3 of my 6 appointments literally soaked and dripped wet like i just got sprayed by a fire hose. then when my sports jacket and pants started to dry up on the bus, they started smelling like gross wet dog. 1 of our 2 buses had a broken motor in the windshield wiper which normally wouldnt be a big deal but because it was raining so hard, it was sort of a dilemna, so at times, every single kid on the trip was squeezed onto the one functional bus, and at other times, we would have the one bus shuttle back and forth, picking up and dropping off kids, which made for some delays in our planned activities. oh, and if that werent enough, there were about 10 bomb threats and cases of "suspicious baggage being left unattended" in just about every government building we had appointments in. a bunch of the buildings were evacuated by military police.

the mirthmobile got tuned up for my 18th birthday, the muffler was fixed, i got a new radiator belt, and the leak in my transmission was sealed. apart from getting a new stereo system and some electrical work done with my right-rear window, my baby is tip-top.

dillon comes in 16 days!

dmb is playing with soulive at blue cross on december 7th, i got my tickets with bake, harris, nicole, nick, jonna, caitlin, and pj. its definitely going to be a good show. trey's new album, Shine, comes out on november 1st and hes going on tour to support it. the closest hes coming to rochester are buffalo, utica, and albany but im on the senior trip for the buffalo and utica shows so i think carleigh and pete and i and whoever else wants to come are going to go see him in albany on november 18th.
