what a week, and still going
this is Bob's dog Sadie. Well it is Sadie, but she normally does not look this, er puffy. She was trying to get a copperhead snake and instead the snake got her, at least twice. She will be fine, but in the meantime has made me laugh every time I look at her.
this incident was after all the floods of last week, getting into my storage unit. I lost:
my mattresses
My high school yearbooks
Parts of my babybook and stuff with them
my scrapbooks from college
many of my hardcover books
my winter coat
possibly my beloved christmas chuck taylors in green felt with the jingle bell tongue
my toaster cookie jar...
and that is just what I have gone through.... but it is mostly stuff and mostly replaceable. I also missed seeing fireworks this year, it rained when I was supposed to see them in OH. Then Sadie's snake bite of last night. oh well.
In other sad news we arrived home from the salvage trip to find Bob's signature piece (a lovely turquoise toilet plater that marks his driveway) had been viciously smashed to pieces, and his mailbox stolen. what jerks!
now his mom is in the hospital.... seriously what a week. I need a nap.
