A real entry!
yeah, LJ and i needed a break. I only posted 5 times in July, and then a bunch of random shit so far this month. I've just been so damn busy. And it's been with like work and other non-exciting things. I feel like summer just blew past me and i'm quite upset that it's mid August already.
Work is kicking my ass, my manager was off for the past 2 weeks, so i was running our department and covering like 5 million things. I'm taking a much needed vacation from work at in 2 weeks. I'm taking at least that week off, and most likely part of the following week. I'm going to be up to like 20 days off that i've accumulated, and taking both weeks off would only ding me for 9 (assuming i do zero work during that time period). I'm not actually sure what i'll do during that time besides just "not work". Not working for a week just sounds good in itself. I might fly down to St Pete and stay with my uncle for a few days. An old friend lives down there now, so that gives me a bit more reason to not "not go". I still want to get to Kennywood for the first time in years if anyone would ever made the plans with me and stick with it! haha.
I've been working out a bunch this month. Been lifting 5X a week since July once again. All those trips for business were throwing my routine off. For the past week or so, I've been doing 5+ miles on my exercise bike as well. At some point in the next month I'm going to do some real riding at Ohiopyle with my one coworker from California who is here every couple weeks. I've just gotten so out of shape in the past year. Nothing interesting on the women front either. I had a brief "something" a couple weeks ago, but that's it.
My friend Allison (skamakazi1) is coming into town this week. I haven't seen her in YEARS. She was one of my friends at Pitt who was also in the "scene". It'll be very cool to hang out again. I'm still mad i never made it down to Austin that one time for work, as Texas is a state that i've never been to. She's probably crashing at my place on Thursday or more as well.
Six Feet Under has been both riveting and sad to watch due to the end of the show coming up. I'm in amazement that it's all over next week. I watched that new Showtime show Weeds last night too. Brillance. I loved it. We'll see how the rest of that show goes.
