Also -- I went to the Joe Biden rally yesterday in Tacoma. I was surprised at how many people showed up. Everyone was all excited over the Powell endorsement.
Awesome. I've always had a lot of respect for the guy. Buchanan went so far as to blame it on race while on Hardball yesterday hahahaha. I believe he said the reason he waited was that he wanted to get to know Obama better to get a better feel for how he'd handle things - I think he's made a sound decision and a great argument to back it up.
It was good.. there was a HUGE line going in, but everyone was in good spirits despite the chilly wind. It too a long time for everyone to file in Cheney Stadium (lol). A few local politicians spoke before Biden came out & gave about a 45 minute speech. Most of what was said was stuff that everyone was pretty familiar with, but they talked a bit about Colin Powell and the plan to withdrawl troops from Iraq, the economy & such. He also spoke a bit about the divisive tactics by what's left of the republican party and the things said at Palin's rallies, etcetc. You know, I find it really funny how McCain tries to say that awful things are siad about him at Barack/Biden rallies, but there is absolutely no evidence of anything of the sort, at least not from what I saw. Everyone was really nice & peaceful. There's none of those angry vibes at all, everyone was just excited to be there.
