I have such a solid update coming up about a police man in philly. This entry is mostly to remind myself to write the follow-up. Don't worry, I will not clog up your friends page (hopefully I'm on your friends page) too much, I will delete this entry if indeed I do write about the full story. I am too tired right now to do it, but rest assured... it is well worth the introduction.

And now here it is:
So, a few days ago (by now it has become many weeks) on the friday after Thanksgiving (aka Black Friday) Alok and I took two of our "relatives" into town - two teenage girls. Well, anyway, after going to see the liberty bell and sufficiently walking about Independance Mall doing nothing, we decide, as it was around 11:00 or so, that we want to get some lunch. Alok suggests that we do the authentic thing and get some philly cheesesteaks, and of course, we all agree. However, after Alok travels into the University Ave. area, and we park on the side of a street, we find that the food court area where Alok suggested to get some cheesesteaks was under renovation and was completely deserted. So, we ponder a while and still decide that we are hungry. We walk down the sidewalk and see a cop. We decide to ask the cop if there is anywhere good around here to eat, and he gives us the general cop answer.
Well, in essence, he suggests that we check out the cafeteria that we just found was being renovated, and then he directed us towards the black cat café near where we parked a few blocks down. We try to find it, but find a bunch of cafés that have not yet opened and a few creepy cult witch shops. It was really bizarre. We also see at the top of the street that there is another huge street in which we were sure to find a place to eat. So, we enter the car, we drive back down the street (one-way streets) take a left, past where the cop used to be (he was gone now) and go back up a more heavily trafficked road.
Now HERE is where it all gets ace. As we reach the first traffic light, we see the cop that had directed us to someplace to eat, which we didn't find, pull up right next to the car. Alok rolled down his window, and the cop asks frankly whether or not we found a place. Alok says no, and the cop simply gestures us to follow him. So, on his motorcycle, he escorts us down a few blocks and we pull up right along side a McDonald's. We all get out, we thank the cop, and he informs us that besides the McDonald's there is a big supermarket and a lee's hoagie house on the same street. We thank him again, he gives us a salute, and we walk down and eat some cheesesteaks at Lee's Hoagie House.
Moral of the story: Cops are stalkers!
